PiezoWave2 / Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy (MyACT™)
MyACT®TM (Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy), also known as PiezoWave, is an FDA registered non-invasive pain relief technology which utilizes focused sound waves for the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
PiezoWave is widely used in the treatment of acute and chronic pain in muscles, tendons and joints. PiezoWave uses acoustic waves to compress and manipulate targeted tissue, producing a precise, focused deep tissue massage. The results of the mechanical stimulus delivered by PiezoWave can lead to increased circulation and range of motion, as well as pain relief, all key components of the healing process.
PiezoWave - Advanced Technology That Is Easy To Use
PiezoWave Therapy is delivered via the hand-held Therapy Source
PiezoWave utilizes an intense, short duration acoustic energy wave
The array of acoustic energy generated by the Therapy Source passes through soft tissue and becomes
concentrated (focused) precisely at the desired tissue depthMultiple applicator (gel) pads, can be interchanged to adjust the focal point depth of the acoustic wave
to the targeted tissue
PiezoWave Is Effective In The Treatment Of...
A sound approach to treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy (MyACT) is widely used in the treatment of acute and chronic pain in muscles, tendons and joints. MyACT describes the use of acoustic waves to target tissue at varying depths to compress and manipulate tissue resulting in a focused and precise deep tissue massage. The results of the mechanical stimulus delivered by MyACT can lead to increased circulation and pain relief – key components in the healing process. MyACT is widely used in the musculosceletal system such as myofascial dysfunction and pain associated with triggerpoints. Detailed information of indications and containdications are shown in the user manual for the devices – delivered with the product and available at Elvation Inc.

Frequently asked questions
• A typical PiezoWave2 session takes between 10 and 20 minutes
• Typically, 1-2 treatments per week are performed
• A total of 3-5 treatments may be necessary before lasting improvement is achieved
• With acute pain, a single session is often successful.
1. Your clinician will identify the treatment site or sites.
2. They will then apply a thin coat of coupling gel.
3. The clinician will start the treatment at a very low output setting and increase the power to a level that you help define and is best suited for your condition.
4. As the clinician moves the therapy source around the treatment area, you may feel a deep, dull ache over the area of concern.
5. The clinician will ask you to report when you feel the ache and will adjust the output of the device to the appropriate level for your treatment.
6. After the treatment is completed, the coupling gel will be removed, and you can return to your normal activities.
The number of treatments varies depending on the indication and tissue response. The effect of the treatment is cumulative, so you will typically need more than one (3–5) treatment. Very often though, you will experience relief right after the first treatment.
Most indications require 3–5 treatments which are done 3–10 days apart, depending on the patient’s tolerance and their tissue response.
Most patients will experience an immediate pain relief following the treatment. However, within 2–4 hours after the treatment, they may experience some soreness in the treated area. This soreness has been reported as tolerable and not limiting.
